My thoughts

Why am I doing this? Anyway, this is my little hole in the World Wide Web and I thought I would tell the world what I thought. What is racism? Racism, to me, is a bunch of ignorant people afraid of what they don't understand. Why do people care so much about what color of skin we have? It doesn't make any sense. If you're reading this right now and you don't agree with what I just said, please keep reading and I hope you change your mind!! I try not to hate people, but I can't stand racist people. If people would just get to know people better, and become less judgemental this world would be a better place for us all to live. I've had my few shares of name calling and it does hurt some times, but as I grow older I care less about what people call me. If you don't stop caring you just keep getting hurt so what do you do? Think about some of your friends, do they make racist jokes? Like mexican jokes, or indian jokes? You don't have to stop being there friends, but tell them to stop saying that and it's not right. You can change the world. Yeah right you say, but you CAN!! For you to tell that one friend that those jokes are not cool is just the start. Maybe your friend will remember what you told him/her and he/she will tell another friend the same thing and that friend tells another friend and so on. That can happen! You just have to start it. You CAN be the beginning, YOU CAN!! I know you might lose some friends or be disliked by some shallow people for standing up for equality and fairness. I say forget about them. They are not your friends. We need to educate our schools about racism, and how not to hate people just because of their race, culture, or sex. There are many parents out there, Klu Klux Klan, for instance, who still teach their kids to hate people of different color or anyone who isn't a white supremacist. African Americans and other minorities, I admire, because of all the times they have had to face adversity, and heard "nigger", "jew", and many other racial references, spoken to intimidate. However, these people who witness this kind of persecution, must not go back and hold prejudiced views themselves. That is the real struggle, not to do to others what others have done to you. Maybe someday racism won't be in our vocabulary. I don't know if I will be alive to see this happen, but I going to try my hardest to stop this evil called racism. After reading this if you still hate someone because of there skin Please read this again until you change your mind. PLEASE D0 IT!!
