Nov 1 there was a KKK meeting 15 minutes from where I live in North Carolina. I was researching the KKK when I came upon your page. I hope your effort does some good. It is so very wrong. I'm a caucasian female, age 40 with two children (13 and 11). I wanted to go to the meeting to protest, but figured it was better to stay away and ignore them. It's so hard to believe that it exists today. You're right about the jokes. We need to quit laughing and repeating prejudice jokes. Deep down, we should know they are not funny.

hey, i don't know where you live but on saturday nov 22 we've got some big klan rallies and some of my friends (i'm 14 and some of them are 15) were going to do a simple anti-klan protest and i was wondering if you have any tip to help persuade people to join our fight i've e-mailed a bunch of people so any advice is great advice jason vanslycke boerne tx

I absolutely agree with everything you said about the problem of racism. I can't stand racism either. I am constantly fighting the racist thoughts that I had to grow up with. Sometimes I get so worked up about racism (as well as the violence in our world) that I feel hopeless about trying to do something stop it; because I know that it will never end. It will be a constant battle. However, racism (along with violence) can be reduced and it will require people like you, me and countless others to defend what is right. I am very happy about you putting your thoughts out on the web. Keep up the work of kindness...love and compassion.

Your thoughts on racism are noble, but unrealistic. I like judging people by their actions and words, not their skin color. However, I don't want anyone telling me that I shouldn't have the right to hate. I don't want to hate, but I want that right. It is an emotion, something that cannot be controlled by a governing body. If I have no right to hate, I will someday have no right to love.

99% of the people today who use the term (niger) are black people. In fact I hear it every day. As far as jews go, they are white. The same goes for those of Spanish roots. There are now so many "minorities" today that they represent a majority of the American population, and those that love to focus on race are themselves the true bigoted racists. Get Real. I am an American Baptist and a christian and I totally agree with what you said here. I think it's great to find a homepage like this...it's like a ray of hope. I have several different nationalities in my immediate family (cousins that were adopted) and it hurts to hear people make racist comments about their heritages. I was just laid off from my job after 4 days. i performed flawlessly in every respect. The shift facilatator was black and the team leader was black.6 people were laid off those 6, 5 were white. Was this " reverse racism"? I let a person prove to me what and who they are before i judge.

I just read your paragraph about racism, and I totally disagree. We are not ignorant, if anything you people are. A racist should not be worse than a rapist, it's just what we think. And most of the time we are RIGHT. Guess what color the rapist probably is. I'm not saying this as a racist, but as a fact. You people say blacks have as much ability to be successful as whites are, so how come they're not doing anything? Here's an interesting fact: did you know American Indians, in a much rougher environment than blacks, score an IQ higher than the average black? Oh, I just have a comment about the Jerry Springer show. When they got those KKK members on the show, they got a bunch of idiots. They just hate them because they do. But we have a scientific reason to. They love to get dumb rednecks out there and they assume every white racist is like that. That's not true. Why can't you appreciate your white color? I can only assume you're white being that you have a computer. You probably have a job, right? Well, 30% of your money is going to blacks who use it to buy crack and drink liquor all day. Is that how you want your hard-earned money spent? Let me tell you, welfare is a bunch of crap, because blacks don't even think about what happened 100's of years ago. They don't care. Do you know who Walter Williams is? Well, he's black. He's republican. And he's right about this: when he was asked did slavery affect you, and he answered yes it did affect my life, and I thank God everyday because it got me out of a mudhut in Africa and into America.
